Our country divided, mad men shooting innocent people, a president who may mean well but always manages to say the wrong things at the wrong time, government policies that make the public bristle with decent and anger, violence in the streets. disrespect, and, an overall feeling of hopelessness within the country. In addition, sports teams refusing to meet the president at the White House and a whole array of negativism. Trumps visit to the killing fields of Pittsburgh, a wonderful vibrant city that has made great strides in the past few decades, was met with over 40,000 protesters viewing his presence as unwelcome. Further, the office of the United States Presidency has been tarnished, people mocking the position as well as an overall disrespect for who occupies the office. Brought on by this president or not, there is a need of fusion, a need for healing, a need to get politicians to stop running about themselves and how much money they can rake in at the expense of the people who put them in office. Too much disunion between the parties at a time when heads need to be as one to move forward on the complexities of our nation and the world. The City of Pittsburgh need time to heal in the wake of yet ANOTHER tragedy. Lives snuffed out senselessly, one day your living, the next your a memory in our crazy, mixed up and misbegotten world. The senseless murders of the children of Sandy Hook School in Connecticut. The inequality of police shooting innocent black men. The rounding up and tearing up of families deported in a most inhumane way. Our politicians need to come up with better schemes to remedy the nations problems. We as people of our nation need to learn respect, but, at every angle, we see disrespect from those we put in office. The right to vote is certainly a wonderful privilege in our country. It’s what makes us unique in many ways. However, the right to serve the people of our nation is also a great honor. The people that serve us need to come together and unite about particularly, the sense less violence in our country. Who will be the next group that will be murdered? It’s only a matter of time in the roulette world we live. When will those elected get together instead of apart and try to solve this deadly problem hat has no end and has no beginning as far as the people we appoint solving it. In conclusion, we have many problems. Some are not new, some are continuing, but in a land the United States with some of the brightest, best educated people in the world, are there not answers to our problems? Will somehow, some way, these people come together and for once lay down the differences and come together as one to solve our every changing land. That is my hope and certainly my prayer for the benefit of my grand children and your kids and grand kids as well.We need these things to happen NOW to prevent our country from being so divided, no one could possibly fix it.
