What It Means To Be Healthy

There are many myths about health and health related issues. When it comes to myths , lets look at the percentage of what most American believe or disbelieve.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       88% of Americans surveyed think  body image expectations are unrealistic. 79% would rather be viewed as smart than sexy. 75% would rather be seen as physically strong than weak. 67% agree that you can be healthy while dealing with a chronic illness. 57% would rather be seen as positive and 43% would rather be mentally sharp than thin. 68% strongly believe mental health is as vital as physical health. 80% of Americans surveyed are not eating 5 plus servings of vegetables and fruits daily. 49% are NOT getting vital sleep. 52% are NOT drinking 8 glasses of water daily. 49% are NOT getting an annual physical or checkup. 66% want help figuring out the best methods for improving their health. 72% of surveyed Americans wrongly see exercise as more important than diet.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              There are many myths Americans have about health. It is important to start a health and exercise program early in life. Know this, what you do before your 25 years old physically will in all probability dictate what you will look like when your 40 and beyond. A diet in fiber, with plenty of fruits and especially green vegetables, nuts and  exercise along with keeping the brain sharp through things like music lessons, crossword puzzles and the like will keep the body and mind healthy. Stop procrastinating and get crackin!!!
